Band/Orchestra

Our 4th and 5th grade students will be able to work weekly with our Band OR Orchestra teachers: Mrs. Christina Oliver (Band) & Mr. Jason Ankerbrand (Orchestra) are both excellent instructors. This is also excellent preparation for middle school, where they will have access to Band, Chorus or Orchestra!  

Research consistently shows that participating in school band or orchestra offers numerous benefits for children, impacting their academic performance, cognitive development, and social skills. 

Studies indicate that music students often outperform their non-music peers in various subjects, including math, science, and English. Beyond academics, band and orchestra participation fosters teamwork, self-confidence, and a sense of belonging, while also providing a constructive outlet for self-expression and creativity.
